Welcome Colby Huffman to the Essig Performance Academy
Colby Huffman is a Class "A" PGA Professional and four-time Academic All-Big Ten student athlete at Purdue University, where he also received the USAA All-American Scholar Award in 1999. Colby has taught at the David Leadbetter Junior Academy, and at the International Junior Golf Academy (IJGA) both under Gary Gilchrist. While working for Gary, he developed two Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Award recipients, worked with many other highly ranked juniors, and was the director of teacher certification. Hank Haney then became the director of academy, changed its name to the Hank Haney IJGA. Colby came on as a Hank Haney Lead Instructor. Colby served as a mentor and valued golf instructor at the IJGA, and appeared in a Golf Channel series "School of Golf: Hilton Head Island" under Hank Haney. In addition to working with great golf juniors at the Hank Haney IJGA, he patented a training aid and completed a DVD with Hank to complement the training aid. The product has been on sale on the internet at outlets such as Walmart.com. Recently, Colby has developed new packaging and is selling the Swing Band alone, with a complimentary instructional brochure.
